Think Create Share Grow

This post is dedicated to my mother who taught in California from 1929 to 1966. I remember her bringing home research projects done by her elementary students. She spread them out on the dining room table and I watched her work through them as she talked to me about each one.

  1. Adorable! When I was that young, we weren’t writing bibliographies. Cute how they even checked their handwriting. Yea! Start them young…

  2. I will be making a 4T presentation on this topic: how important it is for the children to take responsibility for their research/writing at an early age. They follow the process of reading, taking notes, writing. Don’t need the policemen of “Turn it in” that way. When working with young people, I believe the steps of research deserve more emphasis than the final product.
